Dr. Venus Opal Reese brings “Breaking the inner glass ceiling” message to eWomenNetwork Sept. 19 event
Our relationship with ourselves determines how we do business, make money and impact the important people in our lives, according to Dr. Venus Opal Reese. Reese is an acclaimed presenter who will bring her message to the next eWomenNetwork Reno/Carson/Tahoe Chapter event, 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (doors open and informal networking begins at 4:30 p.m.), Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at the Hidden Valley Country Club, 3575 East Hidden Valley Dr., Reno.
Reese is an inspirational speaker, executive mentor, professor of aesthetic studies at the University of Texas Dallas and CEO of a thriving business. She triumphed over an anguished childhood of poverty and neglect to attain two master’s degrees and a doctorate from Stanford University. Reese has consulted with O Magazine and been featured by ABC and CBS News, PBS, Glamour Magazine, Diversity, Inc. and the Associated Press.
Participants will learn at this session:
- The five keys to making money and living a life that defies the impossible
- The difference between self-esteem and self-worth and how the difference impacts the bottom line
- How to break through the inner glass ceilings that have kept you safe, stuck and small
- How to turn liabilities into assets on the spot when it matters most
“My life is a living demonstration that anything is possible,” said Reese. Her journey out of despair led her to found Defy Impossible, an organization which aims to motivate and challenge others to break through inner barriers. “You are bigger than your bruises. When you realize you matter, you begin to awaken to the intrinsic worth and inherit value you naturally bring to life itself. When you live your worth, you soar,” she added.
The event also features dinner, eWomenNetwork’s trademarked Accelerated NetworkingTM and a business expo. eWomenNetwork is the No. 1 resource for connecting and promoting women and their businesses, offering Accelerated Networking and other resources designed to build relationships and success. The cost is $50 for eWomenNetwork members, $60 for non-members and $70 for late registration beginning September 15.
