Dr. Venus Opal Reese brings “Breaking the inner glass ceiling” message to eWomenNetwork Sept. 19 event
Dr. Venus Opal Reese attained two master's degrees and a doctorate from Stanford University after early years of neglect and living on the streets. She now inspires students and audiences nationwide.

Reese is an acclaimed presenter who will bring her message to the next eWomenNetwork Reno/Carson/Tahoe Chapter event, 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (doors open and informal networking begins at 4:30 p.m.), Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at the Hidden Valley Country Club, 3575 East Hidden Valley Dr., Reno.
Reese is an inspirational speaker, executive mentor, professor of aesthetic studies at the University of Texas Dallas and CEO of a thriving business. She triumphed over an anguished childhood of poverty and neglect to attain two master’s degrees and a doctorate from Stanford University. Reese has consulted with O Magazine and been featured by ABC and CBS News, PBS, Glamour Magazine, Diversity, Inc. and the Associated Press.

“My life is a living demonstration that anything is possible,” said Reese. Her journey out of despair led her to found Defy Impossible, an organization which aims to motivate and challenge others to break through inner barriers. “You are bigger than your bruises. When you realize you matter, you begin to awaken to the intrinsic worth and inherit value you naturally bring to life itself. When you live your worth, you soar,” she added.
