UNR Extended Studies invites community to sample career-enhancing courses at free open house
With many northern Nevadans looking for ways to expand their career prospects, the University of Nevada, Reno is offering a free Extended Studies open house showcasing its noncredit certificates and courses, academic credit and online degree programs. The event will be held 5:30-7:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 24, at University of Nevada Reno’s Redfield Campus, 18600 Wedge Parkway, Reno.
Participants can receive additional discounts for select on-site registrations on top of early registration discounts, and they can enter to win a six-hour professional development course or an iPad 2 (drawing held at 7 p.m.; must be present to win). Refreshments will be served.
The community is invited to sample courses in two 20-minute information sessions (held 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.). Participants will be able to meet faculty and instructors and visit information tables representing more than 40 programs including accounting, business leadership, energy management and social media.
