eWomenNetwork presents “Propelling your brand with public relations”
Advertising, marketing, PR: these are terms every entrepreneur and business owner hears, often without complete explanation of the role that each plays in the organization’s business plans and ultimate success. The next eWomenNetwork Reno/Carson/Tahoe Chapter event features a panel presentation focusing on public relations and its influential role in building brands, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. (doors open and informal networking begins at 4:30 p.m.), Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at the Hidden Valley Country Club, 3575 East Hidden Valley Dr., Reno.
Attendees will learn about how to use public relations to build a small business brand, including:
- The distinct benefits of advertising, marketing and public relations for small business
- Low-cost and free PR tools to achieve big results: news releases, social media and more
- Strategies for consistently persuasive communication
- Why networking is part of public relations and tips on networking effectively
Panel presenters include Alison Gaulden, MBA, vice-president for public affairs at Planned Parenthood Mar Monte and adjunct PR professor at the University of Nevada, Reno. She is president/chief motivator of My PR Coach, a business that allows her to share her enthusiasm for all aspects of public relations. Susan Hill, MA, APR, is owner of Susan Hill Public Relations~Marketing. A former magazine editor and local TV anchor, Hill uses her marketing and public relations experience in a variety of industries to help small businesses amplify their brands. Cheri S. Hill is CEO of Sage International, Inc., a leading provider of financial education, business development and wealth protection strategies. She recognized as the “Wealth Protection Diva” and is a nationally known speaker, best-selling author and co-host of “Having It All” with Jen and Cheri on 99.1 FM Talk Radio.
