When entrepreneurs enter a room filled with people, they face extra questions and pressures, because each interaction could lead to increased business – or a lost opportunity.   The next eWomenNetwork Reno/Carson/Tahoe Chapter event, “The Art of Connecting,” offers proven strategies for authentic networking presented by Kymberlee Simantel, eWomenNetwork executive managing director and other local women entrepreneurs, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. (doors open and informal networking begins at 4:30 p.m.), Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at the Hidden Valley Country Club, 3575 East Hidden Valley Dr., Reno.

Many business owners are unsure of how to approach networking events.  They wonder what they should say, how to talk to new acquaintances and how to make others feel welcomed.  Business owners, entrepreneurs and professionals will benefit from this entertaining session, where they will have the opportunity to learn and practice the elements of connection in a fun and interactive environment.  Artful networking takes practice, and this event will help by reinforcing the elements that cultivate future relationships.  Participants will take away from this powerful session:

  • Fun ways to engage with new people
  • Techniques to assure the authentic self shines through
  • Why showing up is more than a physical act

The event also features dinner, eWomenNetwork’s trademarked Accelerated NetworkingTM and a business expo.

eWomenNetwork is the No. 1 resource for connecting and promoting women and their businesses, offering Accelerated Networking  and other resources designed to build relationships and success.  The cost is $40 for eWomenNetwork members, $50 for non-members and $60 for late registration beginning June 16.  Vendor display tables also are available; for more information or to register, visit www.ewomennetwork.com/chapter/reno  or call 775-853-2120.
